The hugely hyped Gautham Menon- Ajith movie which launched its production recently has been called ‘Thala 55’ by the fans so far, signifying Ajith’s 55th movie. However, there has been reports that the movie may be named Aayiram Thottaakal (1000 Bullets).
Well, we would only know for sure when the details are given to the public on May 1, which also happens to be Ajith’s birthday. And there are many more blanks to be filled in with this project.
In fact, the fans seemed almost annoyed by the tight lipped Gautham during his low key launch of the movie which Ajith skipped entirely.
Anushka Shetty has been confirmed as the lead female character though there are unconfirmed reports that Trish Krishnan has also been approached with a major role in the movie. Harris Jayaraj will most likely compose the tunes for this film, reuniting with Gautham for the first time after their fallout a few years back. It has also been reported that Arun Vijay would play the baddie in this one.
Cinematography is being handled by Dan Macarthur, who tweeted that the shooting had commenced and they would be shooting a ‘cool action scene’ today.
The one exciting news is that Ajith has revealed his look in the flick. The actor looked dashing as ever at the location, with his close cut short hair and clean shaven avatar, as he plays a cop in the film.
Gautham, who is working with Ajith for the first time, says it has been an enlightening couple of days of shooting and that it’s wonderful to work with an actor who treats every member of the unit with respect.
As the expected buzz for this project builds up, largely due to the gigantic fan community the actor has, one hopes the movie doesn’t disappoint and gives the fans what they crave – Entertainment – ‘Thala’ style!
