Thala 55 has to be the most talked about but most secretive project right now in Kollywood, and there is no wonder that speculations are running wild on this one. The fans don’t even know the real title of the flick yet, for God’s sake!
But finally it seems there is movement in the movie’s camp regarding all this and sources say that Gautham Menon is keen on releasing the first look of the movie along with its long awaited title on August 29th – this Vinayaka Chathurthi Day! An auspicious occasion indeed…
There were reports which indicated that the crew and the makers of the film were waiting for the Aadi season to be over to make decisions regarding this unveiling and maybe that was the case which caused such delays.
Reliable sources had also informed the media some days back that the title of the film could be Sathya – like Kamal Haasan’s iconic film in the eighties – but more likely because the character played by Ajith in the film is named Sathyadev.
Gautham Menon is also planning to create a stylish intro song for Ajith in the film, along the lines of the famous song Karka Karka from Kamal Haasan’s Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. Word on the street is that Ajith will be donning multiple chic outfits to the rocking beats of this hip song.
Fans can now breathe a sigh of relief and then start biting their nails once again in anticipation of the big day, which is soon approaching.
Thala 55 or Ajith 55, as it is called now, stars Ajith, Anushka Shetty and Trisha Krishnan in the lead roles with Arun Vijay, Thalaivasal Vijay, Baby Anikha Surendran and others forming the supporting cast.
Harris Jayaraj is composing the melodies for the flick and Dan Macarthur is behind the lens, in charge of cinematography.
The shooting is proceeding briskly and efficiently now in various parts of Chennai.
