Director N Shankar from Telugu Film Industry has now been appointed to be a part of Indian Oscar Screening Committee. The committee comprises of 17 members of jury who will screen the Indian films to contest officially for Academy Award under ‘Best Foreign Language Film’ section. Prior to taking up this great responsibility, Shankar was a part of Nandi Awards Committee twice and was a jury for National Cinema Awards and Goa Film Festival. The panel will now screen films from 17th to 21st of September for the official entrees to next Oscars. Interestingly, there are as many as three films from Telugu lined to make it to the Academy – Mithunam, Aadi Shankara and Chaduvukovali.
