Brisk arrangements were underway for the Telangana Rashtra Samiti’s Telangana Maha Garjana at Warangal, which is being labelled as the mother of all TRS public meetings before the submission of report on the Telangana issue by the Justice Srikrishna Committee.
Mr Chandrasekhar Rao, who is personally supervising the meeting, had said that about 25 lakh people would participate which would “send a message to New Delhi on the aspirations of the people for a separate state”. TRS leaders and workers have been working for over a month arranging for the massive public meeting at the Prakashreddypeta ground, which has been renamed in the memory of T-martyr Srikanta Chary.
The stage, the organisers said, can accommodate 250 TRS leaders. The police department will depute two additional SPs, 11 DSPs, 31 CIs, 94 SIs, 192 Head Constables, 984 constables and 850 home guards at the venue.
As part of the traffic arrangements anticipating the rush, vehicles coming from Hyderabad via Jangaon route would be diverted from Kadipikonda flyover and directed towards Dargah Kazipet, where there is ample parking space.
