Telangana leaders are a little annoyed over Mr. V. K. Duggal’s participation in a dinner hosted by senior Congress leaders. The member-secretary of Justice BN Srikrishna committee was present at a dinner hosted in honor of this year’s Dadasaheb Phalke award winner and film producer D. Ramanaidu on October 23. Duggal’s presence was seen by many Telangana leaders as a conspiracy by their coastal counterparts to influence the committee report, which is slated to be submitted to the Centre by December 31. However, Mr. Duggal pointed out that his presence at the dinner was just a courtesy and reminded that he had even had tea parties with many Telangana leaders and also mixed with other leaders on various occasions. He appealed that nobody should read too much into his dinner participation.
