Telugu Desam Party senior leader Yerram Naidu died in a car accident on early morning today (November 2, 2012) around 2 am near Ranasthalam. Yerrannaidu (55) is survived by wife Vijayakumari, son and daughter.
His car collided with a petrol tanker when he was returning from Srikakulam after attending a marriage function.He was immediately shifted to Srikakulam KIMS hospital where doctors tried in vain to save him. They initially arranged ventilator but his body could not respond to the treatment. Then the doctors declared his death at 3.30 pm.
He joined in politics in 1982 with the inspiration of N.T. Ramarao. He was elected as MLA for four times and entered Parliament by winning continuously from 1996 to 2004. For the first time, he was defeated in 2009 elections in the hands of Congress candidate Killi Kruparani.
Mr.Yerranaidu’s last rites will be conducted in his village Nimmada on today around 2.40 pm. His brother K.Atchannaidu, former MLA, is making arrangements .
