Speaking at the pre-release event of Oh Baby last night, Victory Venkatesh said that the film is the best in Samantha’s career till now. He stated that he has watched the film and liked it immensely. He termed Sam’s performance in the movie as absolutely outstanding.

“The way Samantha acted in both the emotional and comedy scenes is simply superb,” he further added. The event was also graced by other stalwarts like Rana Daggubati and Naga Chaitanya. The principal cast of the film Naga Shaurya, Teja Sajja and Rajendra Prasad were also present at the event.

Oh Baby is directed by Nandini Reddy. It is bankrolled jointly by Guru FIlms, Peoples Media Factory, Suresh Productions, and Kross Pictures. It is gearing up for the worldwide release on July 5.

Director Sudha Kongara stormed into stardom with just one film Saala Khadoos that was remade as ‘Guru’ with Victory Venkatesh in Telugu. Undoubtedly, Sudha is definitely much sought after director among the young generation of film makers. After the success of Guru, the director remained tight-lipped about her next project and seemingly was enjoying the success and acclaim that she received.

However, rumour mills suggest that the director has approached actor Suriya Sivakumar for a project that she has in mind. Reportedly, she has narrated the script, and he is said to have given his nod.

Since Suriya is now hands full with his upcoming two projects, we might only see the two of them collaborating later in the year.

One of the top veteran heroes of Tollywood, Venkatesh who has scored a decent hit with Guru is still maintaining silence on his next. However, he has a couple of options in his hand.

Venkatesh has become a surname of Victory with continuous. Such hero has completely become silent in recent years. He came to know the fact that common audience got bored with routine mass masalas and he started doing content driven flicks like Guru. After Guru, he okayed a flick called Aadallu Meku Joharlu under director Kishore Tummala but for some unknown reasons, the movie got shelved. Puri too narrated a line to Venky, but Venky is thinking about Puri’s present track record. In this situation, he is waiting for more interesting scripts just like Nagarjuna than doing commercial entertainers.

There is a speculation that he might work with Puri if Paisa Vasool becomes a hit. Until then, his fans have to keep on waiting for Venky’s 74th flick.
