The political situation in Karnataka got heated up as the elections are nearing by. Popular actress and wife of late actor Ambareesh, Sumalatha had expected a ticket of Mandya constituency, from Congress. But Congress, which is in alliance with JDS, gave the ticket of Mandya to Nikhil Kumar, son of Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy.

Upset with this, Sumalatha has decided to contest independently. Interestingly, the actress is now getting support from all the corners of the Southern film industry. A few days back, hero Yash of KGF fame said that he will support Sumalatha’s decision. It was even reported that Superstar Rajinikanth and Mohan Babu will campaign for her.

Now, we hear that Megastar Chiranjeevi is gearing up to campaign for Sumalatha. Chiru is a member of Congress but he is not politically active anymore. Thus he decided to campaign his friend, says the sources. Even the public has sympathy over Sumalatha, considering that she lost her husband recently.

Darshan is one of the popular heroes in the Kannada film industry and he stays in Ideal Home Layout at Rajarajeswari Nagar. On the early hours of Saturday, some unidentified persons pelted stones at Darshan’s residence which caused the damage to the windows of house and car. They also damaged the flexy featuring Darshan and Ambareesh. Rajarajeswari Nagar cops reacted immediately and tightened the security at his home.

Darshan’s fans are thinking that the opposition party members are behind the attack as they are not liking Darshan extending his support to Sumalatha for the Parliament elections. Already, JDS MLA Narayana Gowda openly issued a warning against Darshan. The cops registered the case and carrying out the investigation. On the other side, the cops hiked the security at Yash’s residence as he is also supporting Sumalatha in the election.

Senior heroine Sumalatha is the news now as she recently posted a picture of her husband on the social media. After the sudden demise of her husband Ambareesh, she is disheartened and is trying to cope up with the situations. She believes that her husband is a god to her and she recently performed puja for his picture.

Like how people usually offer the likes of God as Prasadam to him, Sumalatha too kept some food and a wine bottle as Prasadam. She stood by his picture and the same was posted on the social media.

A lot of people who came across the picture trolled Sumalatha for her belief and most importantly offering wine. Advocate and Family Counselor Ramya Akula who is close to Sumalatha responded on it saying that it is Sumalatha’s personal thing and people should not unnecessarily trolling the issue. She said that Sumalatha can do anything as it is her choice. She even added that Sumalatha can take a legal action against those trolling her.

Popular film actress Sumalatha is planning to make her entry in the politics. Her husband Ambareesh breathed his last sometime back. He was also a popular actor and also served as a minister in Congress government. The buzz is that she will make her political entry in Mandya Loksabha constituency.

Ambareesh did not contest in the election last time because of the health issues. Even Sumalatha is planning to continue in Congress party but JDS is expecting the same constituency as the party is in the alliance with Congress.

Rockline Venkatesh and few others from the film industry are extending their support to Sumalatha. The buzz is that Kumara Swamy’s son Nikhil might contest for Loksabha from the same constituency. If Sumalatha still continues to contest for it, it will lead to a clash of vote.

Popular Actor and politician MH Ambareesh died of a cardiac arrest on Saturday night. He was admitted to the emergency ward at a private hospital (Vikram Hospital) in Bangalore on Saturday night after he suffered breathlessness.

The veteran actor who is fondly called as Mandyada Gandu (man of Mandya) by the fans is the Rebel Star of Sandalwood. He had served as Minister of Housing, Karnataka Government in the Cabinet of Chef Minister Siddaramaiah from May 2013 to June 2016. He also appeared in more than 200 films and was last seen in ‘Ambi Ning Vayassaytho’ that was released in September this year. He debuted with legendary director Puttanna Kanagal’s National Award winning movie ‘Nagarahaavu’ and shared the screen space with popular Kannada actor Vishnuvardhan.

Ambareesh is well known for his roles in ‘Jaleela’, ‘Anta’, ‘Olavina udugure’. He was awarded the SIIMA lifetime achievement award in 2012. So many celebrities including Rajinikanth and fans are mourning his death.

The senior actor was apparently admitted to the hospital. We have come to know that the actor is facing several issues regarding the breathing and this has become the reason for him to be shifted to the hospital. His family members shifted him to the hospital. Dr Satish and his team are currently operating on him and he is being tested on Blood, Sugar, as well as BP. The doctors are also doing Heart-related tests.

Meanwhile, the sources from the hospital revealed that the actor is doing well and there is nothing to worry about. Recently, he was spotted during the election of President. He was seen ill and he attended it on a wheel chair.

Nagarjuna’s father and late legendary actor Nageswara Rao is well known for his romantic acts. He never shied away from playing pranks with his co-stars, off-screen. Yesteryear heroine Sumalatha, in one of her recent interviews, revealed that Nageswara Rao asked her to marry his son, Nagarjuna.

Sumalatha said, ‘On a fine day when I was shooting, Nageswara Rao sir came to me and said that he had selected a perfect guy for me who will soon come from Foreign. He even assured to talk with my parents if I agree. When I questioned, who that man was, he said it was his son, Nagarjuna, who was yet to become an actor then’.

Sumalatha, however, didn’t say if she had accepted the proposal or not.

The Telugu Sahitya Academy of Karnataka government gives away NTR Memorial Award every year to some prominent personalities from the film industry. Like every year, this year also, the panel of the Sahitya Academy has finalized the name of the winner. Kannada Rebel Star Ambareesh and his wife Sumalatha are going to receive the award for this year. The same has been revealed to the media by the founder of Sahitya Academy. The founder Radha Krishna Raju announced that they were awarding Ambareesh and his wife this year by expressing his happiness.

A felicitation activity is also going to take place at the awards event. The event will be organized tomorrow at Ravindra Kala Kshetram. All Ambareesh fans, celebrities from Kannada film industry and other prominent personalities are expected to attend the event.
