Banned cricketer Sreesanth who was once considered the future of Indian pace bowling, but later got caught up in the infamous IPL spot fixing scandal, seems unable to give up that spotlight and has been on a quest to get his ‘mojo’ back in whatever form!
The disgraced athlete recently found his niche in the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhlaja and now is about to expand his boundaries in to the field of movie acting – yes, Sreeshanth is playing the lead in a Bollywood movie!
Here’s what we know so far and no, we haven’t heard it from Sreesanth yet – the flick will be a remake of a yesteryear Malayalam film, which was considered a bit controversial at the time, and though the movie will be a Hindi one, the director will be a Malayali.
So we have controversy, Sreesanth and Bollywood.. ahem, a recipe for an ‘interesting’ outcome to say the least.
Sreesanth also has a Tamil movie in the pipeline, but his focus will be on the Hindi one first. The film will launch as soon as the reality show he is a part of comes to a conclusion. The cast and the crew are undecided upon.
All this information, by the way, was given to the media by Sreesanth’s brother Deepushanth. The proud sibling added that his brother only knows being passionate about something and giving his all to it, like he is doing with dancing right now.
Now, that is a surprise. Even Madhuri Dixit, one of the judges of that show, had to admit on national television that she liked his skills and talent, and was not judging him for his past or history – just dancing.
Wonder what other tricks Sreesanth has up his sleeve and hopefully, acting is one of them!
