Raj and DK have always had their unique style. Be it the story they pick or the screenplay they execute or the humour they try. They had successes and failures but never succumbed to any formulae. However humour has been a core component of all their projects. Be it Shor in the city or 99 or Happy Ending or Go Goa Gone which was first of its kind. Gentleman is probably their one of the costly films , no wonder when it is starring the richie rich actor Siddhart Malhotra. Do the director duo crack it this time? Well the answer is mostly no.

Gentleman is a story of two characters Gauran and Rishi, both played by Siddhart Malhotra. Gaurav is the sundar and susheel which the title is talking about. He is a simple man looking for basic joys of life with a secured job , dreaming for a happy family and to live happily ever. He is idealistic guy who follows everything sincerely including traffic rules. His love interest is played by Jacqueline Fernandez who doesn’t really agree for his proposal. On the other hand we have Rishi who works for UnitX, a spy group who is supposed to work for national security. However, the team is led by Sunil Shetty who has mixed shades. What connects both the Siddharts is the rest of the story.

As usual, Raj and DK get the humour part right without using any conventioal methods. The conversations of Siddhart with Dalal especially tickle the funny bone. However humour is all the movie could get right. The movie has lot of stunts, a show off of the toned and chiseled bodies. The lead pair score full marks in the body aspect but the roles themselves are not so interesting. Of them Jacqueline gets a role of no substance. Siddharts role is interesting only to an extent. Supporting actors like Darshan and Rajit Kapur do their job well.

Lot of the movie is shot in Miami and cinematography is done stylishly too. This makes the film visually appealing however the style dominated the content which is unfavorable. Moreover a main suspense element is revealed in the interval itself which kills the second half of the film. Its lik the film did its suicide.

Gentleman is a film which tries too hard to tell a story with a half baked content and trying to cash in on Siddharts physical aesthetics, stunts and the directors trademark comedy.

So its only sundar (locales) , but the script is nowhere close to susheel. However, you will find Mr.Sids fans drooling over him in the cinema halls. Now you know whether the watch the film or not.

His upcoming release “Ek Villain” has generated a lot of curiosity among the audiences. The music of the film is a hit. His sizzling chemistry with Shraddha Kapoor has become the talk of the town. And to add to all of that, he has a slew of films in his kitty.

And now, comes the biggest news of the month!

Sidharth Malhotra will be seen sharing screen space with Khiladi Akshay Kumar in his next film. The film is the official Hindi remake of the Hollywood film, “Warrior”. That’s right! Sidharth Malhotra and Akshay Kumar to come together on screen!

The movie will be jointly produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Akshay Kumar.

The story is about two brothers who face each other in a martial arts tournament.
“The film I am doing next is very exciting. It has an interesting script and it has lot of scope for two characters. It is about mixed martial arts and fighting. I will have to start training for it soon,” Sidharth told a prominent media house.

“I should start training for martial arts in a month’s time. We would be getting a trainer for it,” he added.

Sidharth will also be seen in another remake of a French film ‘Priceless’. That film will also be produced by Karan Johar.

On the film Sidharth says, “It is on hold as the script is not finalised yet. Director Tarun Manshukhani is working on it.”

Well, he surely seems to be making the most of his career post the successes of his previous films, “Student of the year” and “Hasee toh Phasee”.

Only time will tell where this actor is headed to.

The much-awaited Bollywood film “Ek Villain” is all set to hit the theatres. The film has generated a commendable amount of buzz in the past few days and by the looks of it, the film may just turn out to be the next money-spinner at the box-office.

The film’s music is topping the charts. The song ‘Galliyan’ by Ankit Tiwari is on the top of all music charts. Other songs like ‘Banjaarey’ and ‘Awari’ among others are doing extremely well too.

Prachi Desai’s item number has set tongues wagging and audiences can simply not wait for this movie to release.

Amidst all this, the sizzling chemistry between the lead actors Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor has been the talk of the town. Ek Villain Kissing scene between Sidharth and Shraddha is a testament to their amazing on screen chemistry.

Two months ago, Sidharth Malhotra got cosy with Brazilian model-turned-actress Izabelle Leite on a date at a Bandra hotspot. Izabelle looked very comfortable in Sidharth’s company but later tried to hide her face and make a quick exit when paparazzi arrived at the venue (Source : Mirror, March 8).

Sources from the sets of ‘Ek Villain’, revealed that the actor had developed a special equation with Shraddha Kapoor.
“Siddharth and Shraddha would often hang out together and would party till the wee hours of the morning.”, added sources.

Buzz is, that their chemistry was so convincing that their scorching kiss was okayed in one take. Shraddha’s boyfriend, Aditya Roy Kapoor wasn’t amused with the rumours and is now spending quality time with Shraddha on a US holiday.

However, if rumours are anything to go by, then Siddharth and Aditi Rao Hydari have now got up close and personal. The two met and bonded at the IIFA Awards in Florida and were spotted at various hangouts in New York.

When contacted, Aditi sounded shocked when asked about her ‘friendship’ with Siddharth. She said, “Who told you this?” and when probed further by a prominent media house, she ended the conversation with a terse, “No comments.”

Siddharth remained unavailable for comment.

Ek Villain, upcoming film starring Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor, has a sensational kissing scene that will lure the hearts. The lead cast will come together on the marquee for the first ever time. The trailer and the first look of the film have created quite a buzz, showing off sizzling chemistry between Sidharth and Shraddha. However, actor Sidharth Malhotra, who looks all bulked up with six pack abs spoke to PTI about his reaction to on screen kiss.

“I think it is hyped out. I don’t know why it is a big deal to kiss in a film when they are in love. We all have intimate moments with our loved ones in real life and that is what we are trying to portray through films” he said.

The actor looks all fit and fab, coming a long way from being a young boy next door in Student of The Year. Sidharth’s performance opposite Parineeti Chopra in Hasee Toh Phasee fetched instant praise.

“For me fitness is being healthy and fit. So that one can enjoy different activities, be it sports or anything. I like being fit. Fitness is not about restricting from what you want to eat, but it is important to balance it out” he expressed, sharing some fitness mantras.

The actor also spoke about the craze for six pack abs these days – “It is tough for everybody to have six pack abs. We are not body builders, it is important to stay fit and be able to run and do exercise and have good stamina. It is nice to be in good shape. But one needs to be healthy and fit first, then abs and all come, it adds to the personality. There is a lot of hard work going into making six pack abs” he signed off.

The trailer shows Sidharth Malhotra like never before – in a villainous and hideous avatar. Confirming the same, Varun Dhawan stated while speaking to PTI – “I don’t consider Alia and Sid as my competitors. Nobody who started his/her career with me is my competitior. I compete with myself. I don’t even keep a tab on what Alia and Sid are doing. We watch each other’s works and congratulate each other”

Varun further revelled in the friendship that three share, saying that its quite endearing. “We are still very friendly and even before taking flight to Delhi, Sid had given me a long list of eating joints which I must try” he said. After Student of The Year, Varun chose to work with his father on his next film, Main Tera Hero, taking it as an important project. The young actor expressed his admiration for his dad’s decipline on the sets, saying that he was a lion on the sets who was punctual and always expected others to be as well.

Talking about his choice to complete his father’s film first, Varun said – “After Student of the Year, I started shooting for my film Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. But I left the project midway and started shooting for my dad’s film. It was not a commercial decision rather it was an emotional one. My father is old now, he is sixty plus and I feel it is my priority to work with him first than anyone else”

When you list down the best rom-coms of movies made on the earth, you will observe that in fact a layer of emotional quotient is the hidden heart. Hasee Toh Phasee undoubtedly fits the bill in qualifying for one of the best rom-coms Bollywood has produced.

Again, it’s not a rom-com in a conventional sense. It’s not a battle of sexes either. It is a story that has its natural flow with its characters taking the movie forward.

Nikhil (Siddharth Malhotra) is the odd man out in his family having his own way of building his life. So is Meeta (Parineeti Chopra) with an aberrant behavior but with a mind of a genius. Nikhil attends a wedding and he meets Meeta, when she is running away from her abode.  At the wedding, he falls in love with Karishma, who is also Meeta’s sister. After 7 years, Nikhil and Karishma finally get engaged. Meeta returns but is kept away from the family by Karishma, and Nikhil befriends her.  The rest of the story is how the equations change with the situations.

The story-line at the highest layer seems to be wafer-thin. However the writing takes us deeper into the complexity of the situations making a strong connect with the audience.  Of course, there is some cinematic liberty taken, but the majority was a laudable dealing.  The humor is very natural, and tickles you with its funny moments.  Every scene between Siddharth and Parineetha were flawlessly written. A couple of scenes might even leave you moist-eyed.  Such is the impact. Kudos to Harshavardhan Kulkarni for his writing and Vinil Mathws for the execution.

Parineethi Chopra is simply taking big leaps repeatedly with every movie she does!  She is extra-ordinarily brilliant. There is a thin line between acting as a retard and playing a character that has an aberrant behavior and presentation. She understands that thin line so well.  A slot is reserved for her in the Best Actor (Female) in all the award functions next year. Siddharth Malhotra is a revelation! A mature performance indeed. The entire ensemble greatly complemented the leads, namely Adah Sharma and Manoj Joshi .

Cinematography was good, and so were the melody tracks composed by Vishal-Shekar.  A minor drawback of the movie is its length. A trimmed version without some unnecessary tracks would have helped.

Hasee Toh Phasee, not just has enough ‘Hasee’, but the emotions that are woven around it will surely touch your hearts for sure. This one cannot be missed!
