Baahubali 2 was released three months ago, but director Rajamouli and producer Shobu are still very much actively involved in the Baahubali franchise. As per the latest reports, the duo are in Los Angeles to attend SIGGRAPH 2017, which is said to be the world’s largest, most influential annual conference and exhibition in computer graphics and interactive techniques.

The duo, along with Radeon’s Raja Koduri, will be interacting with numerous CGI experts and also talk about the future of virtual reality as a model for storytelling.

It’s worth noting that Radeon had been working with Arka Media works on the Baahubali VR, and it’s expected to be unveiled to the public sometime later this year. However, it is yet to be known the main agenda of Rajamouli at the conference.

Going into the details, the makers Shobu and Prasad who have bankrolled the Baahubali series are investing their next on the young hero Sharwanand. This movie is directed by none other than the son of K Raghavendra Rao, K S Prakash. Even though Prakash is a failed director in terms of commercial angle, he proved that he can touch rare genres with his past movies. So he has narrated a never seen plot to Sharwanand and he immediately accepted it. For this movie, the entire team has opted for the Malayalam beauty Keerthi Suresh as the lead actress. This movie will get started once Sharwa completes his present under the director Maruthi which is titled as Mahanubhavulu.

As of now, Keerthi is busy juggling between two prestigious projects. One is the Pawan-Trivikram flick and the other is Mahanati directed by Nag Anvesh.

In what may call as unbelievable facts, the producers of Baahubali have declared about the whole trade of the first part. Their revelations are quite shocking to the common audience.

The first part Baahubali: The Beginning not only thrashed the records but stood as the highest grosser at that time with more than 600 crores worldwide. So we can imagine the range of profits bagged by the producers. On the contrary to these numbers, the presenter K Raghavendra Rao along with the producers Shobu and Prasad claim that they have actually ended up with losses. Being made with a budget of about 125 crores, this movie was sold out for very short margin such that the table profits are so less. They said that the buyers enjoyed the excess returns and they didn’t share any profit from any region. According to them, the Hindi buyers saw the excess profits than any other.

And the fact that the first part got released in Germany, China, and other places, the release and distribution costs are bared by producers which made their losses double.
