Chiyaan Vikram and Tamil mass director Hari’s ‘Saamy’, which was released more than a decade ago, was a sensational hit. It was later remade into Telugu with Balakrishna as ‘Lakshmi Narasimha’.

Speaking at the audio launch of Vikram’s latest film ‘Iru Mugan’, Hari announced that he will next team up with Vikram to bring on Sammy sequel. He added that he will commence the work on ‘Saamy 2’ after wrapping up ‘Singam 3’. He further said that Harris Jayaraj will score music and ‘Iru Mugan’ producer Sibu Thameen will bankroll the project.

After the sensational success of ‘Saamy’, the duo teamed up again to deliver ‘Arul’ which did not meet with success. After 12 years, this super mass combination is set to blaze silver screen so expectations will obviously be high. Hari has a section of fan following in Telugu states as well for the kind of racy action entertainers he makes.
