Story

Surya (Ram Pothineni) is a hyper energetic guy who roams with his friends full day cares and loves his father Narayanamurthy (Sathyaraj) unconditionally like more than anything in his life. He meets Bhanumathi (Rashi Khanna) whom his father desired to be his son’s wife and changes her lifestyle. One day Gaja (Murali Sharma) saves Surya’s father from a deadly bus accident which makes Surya help him in return to show his thankfulness. Rajappa (Rao Ramesh) is a state minister and is having a problem with Narayanamurthy in getting a permission to build a shopping mall which he entrust it to Gaja in which Surya helps him in planning to get documents signed without knowing that they are working against his own father. How he knows it?? How he solved his father’s problem with minister?? forms the rest of the story.

Cast and Performance

Ram Pothineni has given an energetic performance as a son who loves and cares for his father without bounds. He is apt and looks handsome. His performance in emotional scenes is intense. Rashi Khanna performed well and is gorgeous. Sathyaraj as Narayanamurthy, is superb. Rao Ramesh is intense and has performed as usual giving his character a lot more depth. Murali Sharma has given nice performance. Prabhas Sreenu as Thalupulu is hilarious. Naresh, Posani Krishna Murali and Suman are good in their brief roles. Jaya Prakash Reddy is fine. Other actors did good job.

Writing Department

Story of Hyper has nothing new in terms of content. Screenplay is good and entertaining which falls flat sometimes. Dialogues are good.

Technical Departments

Songs composed by Ghibran are massy and good. Baby Doll and Naalo Nenena are well composed. Background score by Mani Sharma is nice. He showed his musical sense in elevating scenes. Cinematography by Sameer Reddy is nice. Vizag locales has been showcased well. Editing by Gautham Raju is okay. Some scenes could have chopped out. Dances and Action sequences are well choreographed. Production values are rich.

Verdict

As trailer and teaser has given insight that this movie is about a son who loves his father very much. This movie begins with the introduction of the same thing at various ages of Surya. This half goes on with comedy scenes and some boring scenes with some beautifully shot songs and well composed action sequences. Interval scene elevates the movie to another level and it’s another half starts with nice sequence between minister and Surya. Games between Minister and Surya are well written at places and they connect to the masses well. Rashi Khanna comes just for songs in the second half and has nothing to do with the flow of the movie. Director Santosh Srinivas who got a huge setback with Rabhasa has done okay job with the content and fine job with massy scenes. This movie works out well in masses. To summarise, Hyper is just another mass masala movie.

Hyper starring Ram Pothineni and Rashi Khanna is set for grand worldwide release on September 30. The movie completed all the censor formalities and it has been awarded with U/A certificate from Censor Board without any cuts.
