Kannada beauty Rashmika Mandanna has gained a huge fan following in Tollywood as well. It is a known fact that Rashmika got engaged to her ‘Kirik Party’ co-star Rakshit Shetty even before her Tollywood debut with ‘Chalo’ movie.

However, because of some reasons best known to them, the duo parted their ways and called off their engagement. Rashmika’s mother has announced the news officially. At the same time, Rakshit Shetty stated that he is going to stay away from social media for a while. But by connecting these two incidents the fans started trolling Rashmika. On this note, Rakshit gave a clarity that him being away from the social media is because of his professional purpose and has nothing to do with Rashmika.

But I had to come back in order to clarify a few things, for what has been playing it from the last couple of days has been literally snatching away everything a person loved and lived for! You all have formed opinions about Rashmika. I don’t blame any of you because that’s how it is projected. Everyone of us believe what we see and what is said. But it need not be true. Most of the time we come to a conclusion without even thinking from another perspective. I have known Rashmika for more than two years and I have known her better than any of you. Rashmika Mandanna and Rakshit Shetty is the hit pair of Sandalwood. The actress made her debut in the actor’s super hit movie Kirik Party. During the time of the film’s shoot, both have fallen in love with each other and decided to enter the wedlock. Both got engaged with the consent of their families but the latest rumors in the film industry reveal that Rashmika had called off the engagement due to the compatibility issues.

Earlier, there were rumors of the same but both tried to condemn these rumors but now it looks like the differences between them have been to the next level and they have taken the decision to call it a quit. Rashmika is said to have made the decision after consulting with her parents, family elders, and friends.

The actress wanted to put her maximum concentration on her career at this point in time.

Kirk Party actors Rakshit Shetty and Rashmika Mandanna happily got engaged on Monday evening in a glittering ceremony, in Virajpet. The engagement ceremony was attended by both the families, friends and other well-wishers from the film industry. The interesting buzz is that they are planning to get married after two years. Rashmika Mandanna is currently very much busy with back to back projects in South where she took up Telugu and Tamil films along with Kannada projects.

The sources close to Rashmika also confirmed that she is currently busy with her shooting commitments and will be free after one or one and half year. She will be seen in the movies like Chamak, Anjani Putra and in a Telugu movie opposite Naga Shourya. Rakshit Shetty is also busy with a couple of good Kannada projects.

For a while now, rumour mills have been abuzz about Sandalwood’s latest sensations Rashmika Mandanna and Rakshit Shetty’s impending engagement on July 3. While the duo had earlier denied the talk, the Kirik Party hit pair now confirmed that they will indeed get engaged soon and have the full support and blessings of their respective families.

Speaking to the media, Rashmika said, “We were good friends. But somewhere along the way, the media started talking about us and there was a lot of speculation about our equation. Our families began to feel the pressure and it was then that my dad called Rakshit and asked him what was happening. Rakshit came home to explain the situation to my father. My parents told Rakshit that they were perfectly fine if he liked me and that they would be happy to give my hand to him,” states Rashmika.

Rakshit further added, “It’s true that we will be sharing a life together. But above all, friendship is the crux of this relationship. My family, cousins from around the world and my closest friends are coming down for the engagement on July 3.”
