After a year of mud-slinging, Pulkit’s wife, Shweta Rohira filed for divorce yesterday. The duo were present yesterday at Bandra court for the same when Pulkit lashed out at a photographer who was clicking their pictures.

This is not the first time the actor had misbehaved with the media, earlier too when he was spotted with his rumored girlfriend Yami Gautam at the airport; he had abused a few photographers.

On the work front, Pulkit was last seen in Junooniyat which bombed at the box office. He will be next seen in Fukrey 2.

It is known that Pulkit Samrat and Shweta have called off their marriage a few months back.

There have been stories that Pulkit’s closeness to actress Yami Gautam was the reason behind his split with his wife, but Pulkit has always maintained a stoic silence on this issue despite these speculations. However, after recently reading an article stating that Pulkit grew close to Yami at a time when Shweta suffered a miscarriage, Pulkit decided to break silence on the issue.

Pulkit has now made some shocking revelations. “I was shocked to read an article about the miscarriage, which happened four years ago. I didn’t think she would go to the extent of falsifying facts and bring it out in the public to gain sympathy and malign my image. The miscarriage was tragic for both of us. I met Yami for the first time during the shooting of ‘Sanam Re’, which happened four years after the miscarriage. She just is falsifying this to gain sympathy”.

Rumors were spread about the alleged link-up between milky beauty Yami Gautam and upcoming Hindi actor Pulkit Samrat since they paired up for upcoming film ‘Sanam Re’.

There were also reports that Pulkit Samrat is divorcing his wife only because of his alleged love affair with Yami. When Pulkit Samrat was questioned about this, he rubbished the rumors and said that Yami has nothing to do with his separation from his wife. He asked media not to unnecessary drag Yami in this issue.

Pulki Samrat clarified that he is currently occupied with work, and he has no time to be in a relationship with anyone even Yami. He concluded that Yami messaged him after knowing about his Divorce to give moral support.

Even Yami Gautam admitted that she has just messaged Pulkit instead of meeting him in person to give him private time.

Talented actor Riteish Deshmukh’s upcoming film ‘Bangistan’, which is slated for worldwide release, tomorrow, is banned by the UAE Censor Board, which found the content as offensive. They have reportedly raised an objection to the release of the film. Producer Ritesh Sidhwani confirmed this news and said that they will send it to the re-examining committee.

Directed by Karan Anshuman, Bangistan also features Pulkit Samrat and Jacqueline Fernandez. It was mostly shot in Poland and Ladakh and it is about two suicide bombers, Allah Rakha Khan Praveen Chaturvedi (Pulkit) and Hafeez Bin Ali Ishwarchand Sharma (Riteish), who are brainwashed to go on an explosive mission. But we can witness the rap battle between these two infamous personalities as Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh and young actor Pulkit Samrat have brought alive the rap battle between Osama and Saddam.

For starters, not all movies promoted by Salman can be a hit!

And for someone who’s last movie was a box office dud by his own standards, it was totally unfair in the first place to expect fireworks from ‘O Teri’ !

O Teri focuses on the misadventures of two room mates and TV reporters – AIDS (Bilal Amrohi) and PP (Pulkit Samrat) – who going by their bulging biceps seem to spend more time in the gymnasium and at a local dhaba than out in the field or in the newsroom. It’s no surprise that they are lousy at their job. Get fired or unearth a scam or scandal is the ultimatum from their boss Monsoon (Sarah-Jane Dias). Soon the two become reluctant/accidental investigative journalists who are stuck with the dead body of a whistleblower,CBI officer. If this is Bist’s way to pay tribute to the cult comedy Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron, which follows two small photographers caught up in a big scandal, then he fails at it miserably. A footbridge collapses, a homosexual politician is found in a compromising position, a dog is worshipped for his forecasting skills but the events serve no purpose to the story. The zany soon turns annoying.

The loudness of the film seems intentional, especially considering the oversaturated palette, one that makes a Ferrari look way, way too red and Mandira Bedi’s lips look like she were auditioning for an Aqua video. Every single character in the film constantly speaks with some manner of silly accent; it was as if the actors were told to ham it up during the shoot and then told, again, during the dub, that the face-stretching was all well and good, but that they now needed to bring out their best keshto-voices.

Actors like Vijay Raaz, Mano Pahva and Razzak Khan could have simply avoided being a part of this movie, which would even put Suresh Kalmadi to shame given the inspiration drawn from the Commonwealth Scam.

All in all, this movie is worth a miss! Even Salman’s divine intervention won’t be able to save this one.
