Prema has been missing from the limelight for several years. She was recently in the news for waging a battle with her husband for the divorce. The other day, the once popular South actress, visited Raghavendra Swamy temple in Kurnool district and sought the blessings of her favorite deity. She was accompanied by her daughter.

Prema is heard to be living in Karnataka. She is being approached by several filmmakers with good offers but for some reason, she is said to be rejecting them all.

As per the latest reports, Prema on Wednesday moved the family court seeking separation from her husband, Jeevan Appachchu. She filed a petition in the court seeking divorce under the Hindu Marriage Act Section 13(D).

It is learnt that the actress stated that her husband had consented to their separation. The court will now hear the petitioners and refer the matter to the counselling centre. An order would be passed after that. Prema married Jeevan Appachu, a software engineer by profession in 2006, and the couple were living separately for the past few years following personal differences.

Prema, who has also acted in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu films, is the third Sandalwood actor moving the family court in the recent past seeking separation.
