Natural Star Nani is buckled up for the release of his upcoming movie ‘Jersey’. Touted to be a sports drama, Gautham Tinnanuri of ‘Malli Raava’ fame helmed this project.

With Shraddha Srinadh as the female lead, the movie is slated to hit the theaters on April 19th and here the makers have unveiled the making video of the film. Titled as ‘Journey of Jersey’, the two and half minutes video gives us a glimpse at the visuals of the film shooting and Nani’s 70 days of practicing the sport hard. The video also showcased movie unit shooting the film in 24 days at 2 international grounds and 5 domestic grounds with 130 professional cricketers. The video also showcased Nani’s 70 days of cricket practice.

Suryadevara Naga Vamsi is bankrolling this project. Anirudh Ravichander scored music for the film.

From the past few days, it is being reported that the release date of Nani’s Jersey has been pushed by the makers. This has created some confusions among the trade circles of the industry. Clearing all the rumors, Nani has tweeted the other day that Jersey is all geared up to arrive in theatres worldwide on April 19.

“On APRIL 19th ARJUN will walk in to bat after 10 years of staying away from cricket :)) It will change everything forever,” Nani announced the release date through Twitter and released a brand new poster of the film. He will be seen as a middle-aged cricketer in the movie.

Directed by Gautham Tinnanuri of Malli Raava fame, Jersey features Shraddha Srinath as the female lead. It is produced by Surya Devara Naga Vamsi under Sithara Entertainments banner. Popular music director Anirudh Ravichander has scored the music for this film.

We have to wait and see how the song is going to be in the movie.

Sitara Entertainments is the production house that is bankrolling the project and Suryadevara Naga Vamshi is the producer.

Tipped to be a sports drama, the film will feature Nani in the role of a cricketer Arjun. The regular shoot of the film is expected to hit the floors from the second week of September.

Nani is currently busy shooting for his new film titled Devadas which also has Nagarjuna Akkineni in the lead. The multistarrer is going to be an interesting one. Sriram Aditya T is the director of the film.
