‘Superstar’ Mahesh Babu’s latest film ‘Maharshi’ is the next big release of the year, slated to release on 9th of May, 2019. After a tremendous response for the ‘#MeetRishi’ teaser and ‘Choti Choti Baate’, the team released a new trailer ‘#JoinRishi’ on the eve of Ugadi and it already crossed the mark of 13 Million Views.

Although there are comments saying the teaser seems pretty much close to his previous film ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’, it has been heard that the film might be inspired from Hindi film ‘Swades’. According to the sources, Mahesh Babu will be seen as a brilliant billionaire NRI, who visits his motherland and decides to serve and contribute to society. It can be easily said that the plot is similar to the ‘Swades’ and the college scenario will also be in the lines of ‘3 Idiots’. Although it’s hard to predict it from the trailer, from what the team has been saying, there are strong possibilities of this being true.’

Superstar Mahesh Babu is currently busy shooting for his new film titled Maharshi in New York city. The actor has been particular about the way the film is shaping up as it is his 25th film. Vamsi Paidipalli is the director of the film and the film will have Mahesh Babu playing two different characters as a college student and also a business man. Going by the buzz, the film’s story is based on organic farming and micro agriculture. Mahesh Babu flies to the USA after completing his studies and becomes the top industrialist in the United states. Later, he comes back to India and visits a village where he shows interest to invest in an innovative way of farming. Apparently, the film will trace the journey of Mahesh Babu in discovering new ways of farming.

The movie is also going to have a deep social message that comes with a social responsibility. Allari Naresh is playing a key role in the film. Pooja Hegde is the heroine.
