Young and happening hero Sharwanand is emerging as most reliable star. He is scoring hits even in stiff competition. His latest outing Mahanubhavudu released amidst presence of biggies for the Dussehra festival is making strong waves at ticket window.

As per trade experts Mahanubhavudu is doing exceptional business in all the centres. Thus, extra theatres are being added in most of the areas after witnessing the stunning reception. In Hyderabad alone nearly 30 theaters are added and the number is big in other areas in AP and Nizam. In Hyderabad alone the film is running 70 screens in 2nd week, never happened like this in the past for a mid range film.

Usually, if a film gets positive reports post release, theatres will be added in next week or in the same week. And in Hyderabad, hardly 5 to 10 additional theaters will be added. Interestingly, Mahanubhavudu creates unique record by getting extra 30 theaters in the city. And close to 100 screens all over Telugu states.

Whenever there is a festival which has some big holidays, makers release their movies in theatres to cash in the season of holidays. Many big stars release their movies in this time and smaller heroes find it very difficult to get theatres for their movies to release in this season. This dussehra season there is two release from big stars and they got good reviews and are enjoying the festival holidays with packed houses. Sharwanand who is a medium range hero also releasing his movie Mahanubhavudu under the direction of Maruthi with the production of UV creations. He scored big success whenever he had a release for festival season along with biggies. Let’s see how it works this time.

Story

Anand (Sharwanand) works as an IT employee in a big company. He suffers from OCD of extra cleanliness and happens to meet Meghana (Mehreen Kaur Pirzada) and he falls for her. To his luck, she joins in his office to work under him for a project and they both become too close and finally falls for each other. Meghna hails from a remote village of Pattiseema area and she asks her father to get her married with Anand. Her father (Nassar) hesitantly agrees to the marriage seeing his OCD, suffers with a trauma and vomits blood on Anand during this. Meghana asks Anand to take her father to hospital and they start in his car but he stops the car in the middle of the road and asks for an ambulance due to his OCD problem which angers Meghna. What happens next form the rest of the story.

Cast and performance

Sharwanand as a guy who is suffering from OCD is superb and he excels in this role with his perfect comedy timing and his body language. His styling is done well throughout the movie giving him a never before look. Mehreen Kaur Pirzada is good and looks super fine. Vennela Kishore is humorous. Nassar is nice. Bhadram is fine and all other actors did fine job.

Writing Department

Story of Mahanubhavudu is routine and it has nothing new in terms of content except for the OCD concept. Screenplay is good but written in template formula. Dialogues are good.

Technical Departments

Songs composed by SS Thaman are superb and are blockbusters already. After a long time he composed a chartbuster album for a movie. He did superb job in terms of composing background score to elevate the emotions even better. Cinematography by Nizar Shafi is superb and visuals are delight to eyes on the big screen. Editing is fine and action sequences are composed well. Production values are apt.

Mahanubhavudu is a story of a guy with OCD and his love with a girl from a remote village. Director Maruthi who tasted success in the form of Bhale Bhale Magadivoy who has the problem of forgetting things so easily tries his luck again with the same template screenplay replacing that problem with OCD. Except for the comedy generated through OCD, this movie has nothing to offer to the audience. Sharwanand who is surprising audience with his diverse selection of scripts seems to be got excited with the point of OCD and the success of Bhale Bhale Magadivoy. Maruthi should deviate himself from the formulaic scripts and everyone appreciated him for Bhale Bhale Magadivoy and this time he faltered with his writing which only has comedy. He has chosen a never before attempted concept like OCD and he chose to narrate it in safe mode to score a hit, it seemed. To sum up, Mahanubhavudu is a perfect movie for those who only want laughs for three hours and is a tedious ride who expect to see new kind of movie.

Festivals are turning positive omen for young and happening hero Sharwanand. He already has two blockbusters to his credit for Sankranthi festival with Express Raja and Shatamanam Bhavati. Sharwa is pretty confident of Dussehra too will provide him positive result.

The pre-release event of Sharwanand’s upcoming film ‘Mahanubhavudu’ was held last night in Hyderabad. Prabhas attended the event as chief guest. Speaking at the event, Sharwa showered praises on the ‘Baahubali’ star for supporting him during his struggling days too.

‘If I am the ‘Mahanubhavudu’ in the film, then Prabhas Anna is the Mahanubhavudu in real life. Generally, everyone has 4-5 best friends who would anything for them. Prabhas Anna has 25 such friends, which explains us the kind of person he is. He knows nothing but sharing love,’ Sharwa said.

On the eve, Prabhas presented a special gift to Sharwa when the duo were on stage. Since the young hero is playing the role of a person obsessed with cleanliness in ‘Mahanubhavudu’, Prabhas presented him a kit containing cleaning materials, thus displaying his humorous side.

Sharwanand and Mehreen starring Mahanubhavudu movie pre-release function will be held on 24th of this month in Hyderabad. The movie has already completed censor and got U/A. The film will hit the silver screens worldwide on 29th of this month.

Now the film has completed its censor formalities and got U/A certificate from the censor board. The movie is all set for a big release on 29th of this month on the eve of Dussehra festival.The censor board members did not suggest any cuts in the movie. It is a clean, romantic entertainer film.
