Salman Khan Turns Krishna For Aamir’s Mahabharat?

Mahabharatha is the prestigious project that is currently on cards in Hindi film industry. Star hero Aamir Khan has opened up about the project multiple times in the past. Reliance Industries head Mukesh Ambani is going to produce the film.

Even before the project was confirmed officially, there are a lot of rumours about the casting. The latest rumour in the Bollywood film industry is that Amir Khan will be seen in the role of Arjuna while Salman Khan might be seen in the role of Lord Sri Krishna. Deepika Padukone is said to be playing the role of Draupathi. The film is being made with the budget of 1000 Cr rupees and multiple directors are going to be roped in for the project.

On the other side, there is a project being made in Malayalam and Mohanlal is playing the role of Bheema. Akkineni Nagarjuna might be playing the role of Karna. The complete details about the project will be out soon.

Rajamouli denies rumors about Mahabharata

Baahubali filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli has refuted reports of working on another magnum opus based on the story of Mahabharata. He said that he is not working on anything right now and currently enjoying his break.

“I am not making Mahabharata. I just said that my dream is to make Mahabharata, but it is a long time to get to that,” said Rajamouli. “I haven’t started anything. I am just taking a break. It will be some time that I will be starting to work on my next project,” he added.

Asked about any plans to come out with another part, Rajamouli said at the moment there is no “further” story to tell. Rajamouli has earlier said that he loves mythological stories as it deals with fantasy. Talking about the characters in Mahabharata, the filmmaker said that he in awe of Karna’s character.

Now, a UAE-based Indian businessman is pumping in Rs. 1,000 crore to produce India’s biggest ever motion picture, ‘The Mahabharata’. The ambitious project will be directed by ad filmmaker VA Shrikumar Menon. To be produced in two parts, the shoot begins in September 2018, and the film is expected to release in early 2020.

The film will be shot in English, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu and dubbed in major Indian and foreign languages, entrepreneur and billionaire Bavaguthu Raghuram Shetty’s company said. The project will engage both Indian and international artistes, including Academy winners.

Padma Bhushan and Jnanpith Awardee MT Vasudevan Nair, whose ‘Randamoozham’ (The Second Turn), which narrates the epic through Bhima, the second of the Pandavas, will be adapted for the project, has also written the screenplay.

Interestingly, filmmaker SS Rajamouli is also planning a cinematic version of The Mahabharata. He had reportedly discussed the idea with Aamir Khan, who has shown the keen interest in the director’s ‘dream project’. Actor Amitabh Bachchan is being considered for a key role in this big-budget retelling.

Director SS Rajamouli says in an interview that his super hit movie Baahubali is a tiny compared to his dream project Mahabharata.

Top director Rajamouli is yet to start the shooting of ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’. However, the buzz about his next film has already started. Recent reports suggest that he will make a 1000 Crore visual wonder called ‘Garuda.’ There is also a rumor about his dream project ‘Mahabharata’.

In his latest TV interview on the eve of Diwali festival, Rajamouli was asked if he is game to bring Mahabharata on the silver screen as he has already proved his mettle with ‘Baahubali’?

Jakkanna politely replied that Baahubali is very tiny when compared to the epic ‘Mahabharata’ that he has in his mind for years. He further said that he is not yet skilled enough to film Mahabharata, and he needs more technical expertise and time to learn the high-quality technicalities.
