Disha Patani is making her international acting debut via Kung Fu Yoga.The film is a collaboration between Indo and Chinese filmmakers, which will feature international superstar Jackie Chan as the lead role. She recently won brownie points for her role in Loafer, which was directed by acclaimed filmmaker Puri Jagannadh.

The makers of Kung Fu Yoga chose Disha because she exhibited great skills in gymnastics that is perfect for her character as an archaeology professor, who is also expert in yoga and martial arts.Apparently, her training in the sport will make it easier for her to execute the stunts and other crazy action scenes that have become a trademark of Chan films.

Recently, Disha took to Twitter to express her anxiety,” Thank you to the most pure soul on this planet for taking so much care of me !! You are and you…”. Disha will be Chan’s love interest in the movie, but she will be punching and kicking alongside Jackie. Kung Fu Yoga is slated to premiere in theaters in 2016.
