If you were wondering about having a sequel for a flop movie like Katamarayudu, then you are mistaken as we are talking about the Katamarayudu folk song but not the movie. Pawan sang the Rayalaseema folk song ‘Katamarayuda Kadiri Narasimhuda’ for the movie Atharintiki Daredhi and it became a huge hit. For his love towards the tradition, culture and the regional Telugu folk, Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram have decided to incorporate yet another folk song in their upcoming movie. This movie has a proposed title of Gokula Krishna which is yet to get confirmed by the makers. So the composer Anirudh is working hard to compose this special folk song which will be sung by Pawan himself.
Meanwhile, the music director Anirudh is watching all the songs of Pawan Kalyan to understand the taste of his music to entertain his fans. This is his first Telugu movie in his career.
Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s latest offering Katamarayudu is having a lot of trouble in the overseas markets. The premiere collections for the movie reached up to $460k which is quite less than Powerstar’s previous flick Sardaar Gabbar Singh.

The movie garnered $870 in terms of collections till Saturday and is likely to enter the $1 Million club going by the reasonable Sunday collections.
However, the aspect of worry comes in for the USA distributors and exhibitors as the overseas rights of Katamarayudu were sold out for Rs 11.5 crore.
In order to achieve the target, the movie should generate at least USD 2 million in it’s run. But the poor reviews have affected the box office revenue, and the trade circles predict that Katamarayudu might not survive after the first weekend.

Katamarayudu First Day Collections
Despite being a remake of Tamil flick Veeram, this movie got a huge craze only because of the star power of Pawan Kalyan. With intriguing teaser and trailer, the movie got hype which touched the parallel Galaxy. With the advance bookings, the collections are estimated to collect an overall gross of 55 crores worldwide. But at the end of the first day, the movie managed to get a gross of 42 crores worldwide. The share of India has touched 27 crores including all states. Thus it’s clear that the film didn’t break Khaidi’s opening day record but still got very good numbers. For some reasons, the overseas collections are not releasing time to time.
The Saturday and Sunday performance shows an overall impact on this film’s full run. However, the movie should collect 100 crores to enter break even. Apart from Pawan’s craze, Dolly direction and Prasad’s camera are main highlights of the movie.

The craze of Pawan Kalyan has now crossed boundaries as Tamil Nadu is witnessing the biggest Telugu release ever in Chennai. Being a remake of Tamil hero Ajith’s Veeram, Ajith fans are showing love towards this movie. After the record-breaking hit Attharintiki Daaredi, he came up with only two films – Gopala Gopala and Sardaar Gabbar Singh and both have tanked at the box office. While Gopala Gopala turned out to be average grosser, the other is a disaster.

Being a co-producer of ‘Katamarayudu,’ Pawan has spent nothing but acting as a hero. Being made with a budget of 30 crores, producer Sharath Marar sold out his movie for 115 crores of business. This business includes all the rights like Satellite, audio, and distribution. So the makers had a table profit of about 85 crores. According to the deal, 60% that is 51 crores in 85 is for Pawan Kalyan, and remaining is for Sharath Marar. If this news is true, Pawan made a record for being the highest paid actor in Tollywood and second in South India after Rajini Kanth.

This film is going to be directed by Santhosh Srinivas of ‘Kandireega’ and ‘Hyper’ fame. Mythri Movie Makers is bankrolling this project.
Notably, Pawan Kalyan already gave his consent for ‘Vedalam’ Telugu remake to be directed by RT Neason of ‘Jilla’ fame. Which means, Three out of four of his upcoming films are Remakes. However, an official confirmation is yet to be received from makers.

Since the film has a Rayalaseema backdrop, filmmakers erected sets depicting the same. Brahma Kadali earlier worked for Pawan Kalyan’s films like Sardaar Gabbar Singh, Gabbar Singh, and Gopala Gopala.
Brahma Kadali said, “Since Pawan Kalyan has very tight schedules, it wasn’t even an option for us to go to a real village to film. So we created a village, which included four important elements: Pawan Kalyan garu’s house, Shruti Haasan’s house, a train compartment and a temple,“ He went on to add “This one suspense sequence that required a majestic old Shivalayam amidst lots of rocks and ruins. And there weren’t any that suited our needs in Hyderabad. So we had to build it… in five days.Something like this would easily take at least 20 days! We quickly put together a massive team of about 400 artists, who worked day and night. And we managed to complete it in time,“
The film which is the remake of Tamil hit Veeram will be releasing on March 24. Anup Rubens is the music director for the film, and it also stars Siva Balaji, Kamal Kamaraju, Ajay, Ali, Rao Ramesh, Venu Madhav, Nassar, Chaitanya Krishna and Tarun Arora in pivotal roles.
