Jr Bachchan Creates Guinness Record

It is undeniable that Abhishek Bachchan lags behind his legendary father Amitabh Bachchan and global icon wife Aishwarya Rai in terms of popularity but he has now dominated both of them by entering the Guinness Book of Records.

Junior Bachchan has reportedly set a record by promoting his 2009 release ‘Delhi 6’ in 6 cities in the period of just 12 hours. He had to travel about 1800 km for this. With this feat, Bachchan Jr has broken the previous record set by Hollywood actor Will Smith. He had toured three cities in two hours to promote his film ‘I Robot’.

Although this happened way back in 2009, the news of Guinness record has seen the light just a few days ago. Fans of Abhishek hope that he will bounce back with the double energy given by this new Guinness feat.

Abhishek Bachchan Explains why doesn’t Do Solo Films?

Abhishek Bachchan, the heir of Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, has had a long career of 16-years.

The actor has been part of many multi-starred and solo films. He was recently seen in another multi starer ‘Housefull 3.’ He said that he doesn’t understand why people differentiate solo films and multi-starers as both are just films.

“I don’t get it why people ask me why do I not do solo films? This is a concept I don’t understand because for people a solo film has just one actor. I think it’s incorrect not to recognize other individuals who are part of the film,” he wondered.

To explain his point further, Abhishek took the example of his Mani Ratnam directed solo hit film Guru (2007) and said, ‘In Guru, there was Mithun Chakraborty, Madhavan, Aishwarya Rai, Vidya Balan and many other actors. There were a host of other accomplished actors. How can it be called a solo Abhishek Bachchan film?”

“Each individual has their own approach and perspective to their career and their work. For me, it has always been a learning experience. I can’t guarantee the success of a film, but I can only give it my best. The limelight is shared in multi-starers but if it is shared, then I can also carry a heavier burden. The pros are the pressure not entirely on us. If you are secure in your capability then everything is fine,” added Bachchan Jr.
