Young Telugu hero Nani, who is on a career high after scoring three back-to-back hits, said that he doesn’t want to take the easy route to success by doing the same commercial films that his peers do but he wants to carve his own path by doing what he believes in and doesn’t mind failing during the process.

Nani is currently awaiting the release of Gentleman, which is all set to hit screens on 17th June. Ahead of the film’s release, in a candid interview, Nani said that his well-wishers didn’t want him to do an experimental film like ‘Gentleman’ especially after he has tasted successes with his previous films like Bhale Bhale Magadivoy and Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha.

Nani added that his friends wanted him to act only in commercial films to consolidate his position in the industry. He added that he was even offered projects with big banners, but he decided to do only the movies he finds content in.

Natural Star Nani is one of the most sought actors down South in the recent times. He is currently busy shooting for his upcoming film Gentleman, which is all set to hit the theatres in June.

In a recent media interaction, Nani revealed some interesting facts about Gentleman and how he chooses the thriller subject rather than love story. Actually, Nani always chooses masala movie and pure entertainer after the huge success of BBM and Krishnagadi Veera Prema Gadha.

But, this time, Nani opted for a thriller with his favorite director Indraganti Mohan Krishna, as he does complete justice to the story and make the audience to hook to the seat till the end of the film. It is learnt that Mohan Krishna worked a lot on David Nathan’s story, and the final script has got many reasons to get Okayed by Nani to play a lead role in the film. Nani admitted that there were many people who suggested him not to go for Gentleman, but he is quietly confident about the film.

Nani also said that he is looking to prove himself and want yet another hit after the success of the two back to back films. Nani admitted that he wants to do experiment with the unique roles and has been waiting for the different kind of roles for quite some time now.

Nani will be seen in dual roles as antagonist and protagonist. The audience will see him in a negative shade for the first time ever on screen and Nani strongly believes that Gentleman will drag him into the star hero league.

Bhale Manchi Roju director Sriram Aditya is going to make his second film with Nani. Nani was very much impressed with the story narrated by Sriram and immediately gave his nod for the film. Also, Nani is planning to take the movie on to the floors as soon as possible. This yet to be titled film is believed to be a complete full-length family drama where Nani will be projected in a new light. Nani was never seen in such role in the past, and this subject is very new to him.

The director is nearing the completion of script work, and the pre-production works are also about to be completed. Nani wanted to take the film to the sets once his current film Gentleman hits the theaters. Gentleman stars Surabhi and Niveda Thomas in the lead roles. Mohan Krishna Indraganti is the director. The film is releasing on 17th June.

In fact, both Avasarala and Nani started their journey with super hit film ‘Ashta Chamma’. Avasarala has acted with Nani in many films including Gentleman. After scoring a hit with his debut directorial project ‘Oohalu Gusagusalade’, Avasarala is currently directing Nara Rohit and Regina Cassandra starring film titled ‘Jyo Achuthananda.’
