Satellite rights are a major income source for the producers to recover good amount of their total investment. Four movies are set to clash at the box office for this sankranthi season and here is the satellite rights comparison.

MAA TV acquired the satellite rights of Sharwanand starrer Express Raja. Produced by UV Creations, Rs 3.5 Crore was pocketed by this film.

Gemini TV showed faith in Nagarjuna’s family entertainer Soggade Chinni Nayana and acquired satellite rights by shelling Rs 6.5 Crore. Balayya Babu’s action entertainer 2 Dictator, produced by EROS, was also pocketed by Gemini TV with an expense of Rs 6.5 Crore.

Gemini TV had to shell out huge Rs 9 Crore to grab the satellite rights of 1 NannakuPrematho, the craziest movie of this season. This NTR starrer is directed by talented Sukumar, and it has unprecedented craze among class audiences.

Young director Meralapaka Gandhi, whose second directorial film ‘Express Raja’ is set to hit screens on 14th January has spoken to media and revealed few interesting details.

The Sharwanand starrer thriller comedy was earlier titled ‘Raja’ but finally the makers opted for ‘Express Raja’ title since the screenplay moves with Express speed. He added that he was the one who roped in Surabhi to play leading lady after watching her cute looks in ‘Beeruva.’

Gandhi further said, ‘since I didn’t want my second film to fall trap to the ‘SECOND FILM’ flop sentiment, I took so much time after ‘Vekatadri Express’ for this film. UV Creations has now become like a home banner for me. They are very passionate about movies. After watching Sharwanand in ‘Run Raja Run’, I decided him as my hero and approached him.’

Finally, he concluded that despite the stiff competition, they are confident of the success of the film.

Prabhas’s ‘Mirchi’ happened to be his biggest hit before Baahubali happened. The action film was produced by UV Creations, which is a kind of Home Banner for Prabhas. After the completion of Baahubali 2, Prabahs is set to work with UV Creations banner only. But, suddenly, we hear that Prabhas expressed his anger on UV makers.

The reason is the upcoming production venture of UV Creations, Sharwanand’s ‘Express Raja’. Makers showed their over confidence by joining the Sankranthi race that already has the biggies like NTR’s Nannaku Prematho, Balayya’s Dictator and Nag’s ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ battling.

Many are calling UV makers as being very over confident for not postponing their small film even when three big films are involved. Prabhas too is heard to have questioned the honchos of UV Creations in this regard.

If Express Raja failed to strike gold and justify the confidence of makers, Prabhas will be really upset.

Actor Sharwanand hopes this movie will become a hit at the box-office because Prabhas graced the audio function and he was also attended the audio launch event of his hit movie “Run Raja Run”. So, he hopes this movie also turns as hit for him.

The audio launch event of Sharwanand’s forthcoming release ‘Express Raja’ was organized on Saturday night with Prabhas attending as the chief guest at the function to launch the audio.

The film directed by Merlapaka Gandhi of ‘Venkataadri Express’ fame has music by Praveen Lakkaraju and is produced by UV Creations banner. On the eve, the theatrical trailer and song teasers were released which look quite refreshing. Another hit for Sharwanand, Merlapaka Gandhi and UV Creations banner seems to be guaranteed. Surabhi is playing the female lead of this comedy thriller.

Prabhas wished the team a big success. Sharwa said that Prabhas is their lucky charm and the film will definitely become a success. Dil Raju wished UV Creations to continue making good films.
