Anushka Shetty’s Bhaagamathie is having a wonderful weekend at the box office. After taking a flying start on this Republic day, the logical thriller is collecting solid revenues in its first weekend in all areas of its release.

In overseas, Bhaagamathie punched out half million dollars in just two days. After a 275K $ haul on its first day including the Thursday premiers, the film collected a superb $ 250K( approx) on Saturday to take the overall total past the $500K mark. Not only overseas in Telugu states , Karnataka , Kerala & Tamilnadu also the film having dream run.

Anushka’s commendable performance top notch technical valules have helped the film to get fantastic reports from all over. Thaman S scored terrific BGM for this film & Art director Ravinder & Madhie cinematography are another major assets.

Leggy lasso Anushka Shetty is definitely a lady superstar. The openings her latest outing Bhaagamthie got in all South languages- Telugu, Tamil, Karnataka (Telugu) and Malayalam is an indication of her box office stamina.

Apparently, audience across South are still in Baahubali hangover and are keen to watch Anushka Shetty on big screen. Since, Baahubali series was a super hit in all the languages, Anushka became a household name.

In fact, the G Ashok directed film got houseful collections for morning ,matinee and first shows shows in most of the centers due to positive pre-release buzz and bookings are exceptional for last three shows of the day as well.

Bhaagamathie received positive to extreme positive response from critics as well as audience. Hence, the movie is expected to rake record numbers in first weekend. With no competition at box office, Bhaagamathie will have dominating show for at least a week days.

Interestingly, Bhaagamathie witnessed over 60% occupancy in Kerala, despite heavy competition in the form of a star son film. The UV Creations production has done remarkably well in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka on day one, as per trade reports.
