‘King’ Nagarjuna has been facing a lot of disappointments lately. After ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ & ‘Oopiri’ he didn’t see any success. Even production-wise, he produced ‘Nirmala Convent’ & ‘Hello’ starring his second son Akhil Akkineni ended up as a failure at the box-office with poor receptions. Even ‘Devadas’ a collaboration with Nani, couldn’t fetch him a success.

After a lot of discussions and contemplation’s, he gave a nod to Rahul Ravindran, who debuted with ‘Chi.La.Sow’, starring Sushanth, his nephew, for a sequel to him one of the evergreen films, ‘Manmadhudu’. The film is tentatively titled as ‘Manmadhudu – 2’, which will be produced under his maiden banner ‘Manam Enterprises’. The film has been under pre-production for a couple of months now. The latest update is that the film will go on to sets in March. The shotting of the first schedule will commence on the 15th of March.

The exciting update is that the film’s director Rahul Ravindran convinced Amala Akkineni to be a part of the project and her addition is going to bring a lot of buzz to the movie. An official confirmation on the same is awaited.

Nagarjuna Akkineni and Amala Akkineni are the star couple we get to see every now and then in the media. Both are adorable and look like made for each other. A day ago, both of them have celebrated their wedding anniversary in a grand manner. Apparently, both of them completed 25 years of wedding life. Nagarjuna Akkineni, as well as Amala, were very much happy about their relationship and the wedding life so far.

He has posted a picture of their wedding on this occasion and has asked his followers to wish and bless them. At the same time, he also thanked everyone who showered love, wishes and praises on the couple. అలాగే అమలతో పాటు, తమపై ప్రేమ, అభిమానం చూపిన అందరికి కృతజ్ఞతలు అని నాగ్‌ తెలిపారు. Both of them married to each other in the year 1992.

Veteran heroine, Nagarjuna’s wife Amala Akkineni is getting ready to act once again. Her re-appearance will be opposite Kamal Hassan.

In Detail: Amala who gave an entry with Tamil films in the year 1986, continued doing films in Telugu and Malayalam simultaneously. Later on she married hero Akkineni Nagarjuna in 1992 and left films. From then on she was involved in family life.

With Shekar Kammula’s “Life is Beautiful” that released in 2013, she once again appeared on the silver screen.

Currently she accepted another role for National Award winning Malayalam director T.K.Rajeev Kumar. This film also stars Kamal Hassan in the lead role. Amala will be seen as the female lead opposite Kamal in this bilingual.

Bollywod actress Zareena Wahab is also playing an important role in this film.

Kamal and Amala in the past were seen together in the silent comedy film “Pushpaka Vimanam” that released in 1987. This film was directed by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao.

As reported earlier, Akkineni Nagarjuna will be hosting the Telugu version of the popular game show Kaun Banega Krorepati. The show has now been titled ‘Meelo Evaru Kotesewarudu’(MEK).

After acting in films for more than two and half decades, for the first time ever, Nagarjuna is all set to turn host for a quiz show. Titled as ‘Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu’, the programme will be aired on MAA TV in June and the team, which produced Kaun Banega Crorepati, will be producing the show.

The show will hit the TV screens in June 2014. It will be produced by BIG Synergy who also happens to be the producer of the Hindi version of the game show.

In a press conference , Nimmagadda Prasad, Chairman of MAA TV, said, “For the past few years, MAA TV has been ahead of its competitors in terms of delivering quality content and currently, we are the number one General Entertainment Channel. When we decided to start this show, we considered names of nearly 37 candidates and in the end, we chose Nagarjuna. Although he’s one of the board members, I must say that he earned the chance of hosting the show because we feel he represents what the show is all about. We wanted someone to connect with each and every contestant and Nagarjuna is a true human being, who can bring along a human element in to the show.”

Nagarjuna and Amala Akkineni,later, took to the centre stage and stole the show with their quick round of quiz. Revealing why he chose to host the show, Nagarjuna said, “I’m here to fulfill the dreams of the common man! This is an effort to make the dreams of the ordinary man come true. They are the reason why I’m at this position in life and this is the least which I can do. I owe it all to them!”

It remains to be seen whether this much-hyped show is able to draw attention to itself and keep the viewers glued to the TV screen.

According to sources Tollywood hero Akkineni Nagarjuna’s wife Akkineni Amala is getting ready to enter into politics.All the parties in the state Andhra Pradesh are getting ready for 2014 Loksabha elections and state elections,now Bharatiya Janatha Party (BJP) is looking for stars to strengthen its party in Andhra Pradesh.Recently Rebel Star Krishnam Raju joined back in BJP, now the latest buzz is that BJP is planing to rope Amala into party for that already two senior leaders in the state are having discussions with Akkineni family and waiting for their approval on Amala’s political entry.Another buzz is that Amala will contest from Vijayawada Loksabha Constituency in 2014 elections.
