Director Shankar has started the much-anticipated sequel of Bharateeyudu earlier this year. But the shoot of the film is currently halted due to budget issues. And also, lead actor of the film, Kamal Haasan was busy in political works till last month. We have to see when will it go back on the floors.

Meanwhile, we hear that Shankar is now working on a new project. Apparently, he is planning to direct a multi starer with Vikram’s son Dhruv Vikram and Vijay’s son Jason Vijay. Shankar has worked with both these star heroes in the past and now, he is planning to work with their sons.

There is no official news about this project though. Currently, Dhruv Vikram is gearing up to make his debut with Adithya Varmaa, which is an official remake of Arjun Reddy. On the flip side, Jason Vijay is pursuing his higher studies in the US.

It is already known that the Tamil remake of Arjun Reddy which was directed by Bala was shelved by the producers as they were not satisfied with the final output. Hence, they decided to re shoot with different cast and crew, retaining Dhruv Vikram as the lead actor.

The makers have roped in Girisayya, who worked as an associate director for Arjun Reddy, to helm the film. Bollywood actress Banita Sandhu came on board as the lead actress. Top cinematographer Ravi K Chandran has been signed up as the cinematographer for this new version.

Now, the makers have also changed the film’s title from Varmaa to Adithya Varma. The poster also features Dhruv in a different avatar. The logo looks the same as the original logo of Arjun Reddy. The shoot of the film will go on floors very soon and it is expected to release in the second half of the year
