Super Star Rajinikanth is gearing up for his next film in the direction of Karthik Subbaraj. The film is going to be a prestigious one and Vijay Anthony will be seen in a crucial role of the film. Meanwhile, the Kollywood buzz is that Simran is expected to play the female lead role alongside Rajinikanth in the film. If this is believed to be true, this is the first time that Simran is going to act with Rajinikanth.
Simran as lead actress
Earlier, the names of Meena, Trisha and others were considered for the movie. Simran acted in John Apparao 40+ in Telugu and it is her last film which released in 2008. The actress will be excited for sure if she is going to be a part of the project. Anirudh is the music director of the movie.
Actress Simran Bagga, who ruled the south film industry for over a decade before marrying her boyfriend Deepak, has now turned her husband a villain.

Post the marriage, Simran made her comeback and acted in a couple of films as character artist, but none worked out for her. Even her plans to produce movies and TV serials didn’t work out. She, in fact, wanted to use her influence and cast her husband as a hero in movies. With all these efforts turning futile, the couple seems to have decided to attempt villainy.
Reportedly, Deepak has been roped in as a villain in a new Tamil film titled ‘Odu Raja Odu’. ‘Joker’ fame Guru Somasundaram is the hero. Deepak hopes to impress the filmmakers with his villainy and grab big films. Simran is heard to be helping her husband in this villain act.
It’s been a decade since beauty queen Simran was seen as a lead heroine. This actress who once ruled the Telugu and Tamil industry with her peculiar acting is once again making her steps towards the cinemas.
Simran as heroine
After marriage, Simran concentrated more on T.V shows and serials. With “Aaha Kalyam” that released in 2014, she once appeared on the silver screen. She continued to do character roles in few films. Her recent film was Tamil super hit “Trisha, Iliana, Nayanthara”. In this romantic comedy, she portrayed a cameo as heroine’s aunt.
Now she is rumoured of making her return as the main lead heroine. Currently, Simran is shooting for Tamil movie “Karai Oruvan”. In this film, she will be playing the role of a powerful police officer. Later on, after the completion of this film she will be playing the female lead in a movie produced by her husband, Deepak.
This news has of her returning as a heroine left her fans happy. Simran made her debut in late 90’s. She was in the lime light till early 20’s and left mainstream cinema post marriage. She did lead roles in many Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam movies.
Ad director Gauri Shanker will be directing this film. Simran is rumoured of acting as a police officer in this comeback movie. This film has a unique genre of science fiction with action adventure. This film will start its regular shooting from November and will release in the summer next year.
Senior heroine Simran is set to act in the venture “Trisha Ileana Nayantara”. Of course, the flick has three heroines names but the flick has another heroine Anandi in the female lead role. “How this flick gets related to those three heroines?” turned to be the point.
Music director who recently came into the acting arena, GV Prakash, is acting in the main lead in this flick. Adhik Ravindran is directing this film and the film shooting is moving at brisk pace. Simran has been offered a top level cameo role in this venture.
Simran was once a top heroine in Tollywood. She acted with all the heroes a decade back and attracted the hearts of audience at that time. Later on, she came into small screen arena and now she is back on the big screen. We have to see how she builds her second innings on the silver screen.
