Two suspicious men who are allegedly loitering outside the residence of CBI director Alok Verma were caught by his personal security officers (PSOs) on Thursday morning.
This happened after Alok Verma and special director Rakesh Asthana were sent on leave. The men were identified as officers of the Intelligence Bureau. They have reportedly submitted their identity proofs and Aadhaar cards. An officer revealed that the Identify proofs that are being carried by the suspects prove that they are IB officers. They are still verifying the authenticity of the documents.
The two people were allegedly caught from the front and back gates of Verma’s residence at Janpath Road which is highly secure. They reportedly came there in cars.
It is already known that Alok went to the court for allegedly sending him on leave. As of now, the CVC and CBI are investigating the case and are observing the conduct of Verma, Asthana and their officers.
