Padmavat is the film that is gearing up for a grand release on 25th of this month. There is a huge controversy surrounding this movie now, and we have come to know that a lot of states are planning to ban the release of the movie. The governments of Rajasthan and Madya Pradesh have filed petitions in the Supreme Court asking to reexamine the decision of allowing the release.
The Supreme court recently gave the verdict that there should be no hurdles for the release of the movie as it was cleared by the censor board. Even after that, particular governments have filed a petition again requesting to reexamine the verdict. The Haryana CM told that it would be nice if no one comes forward to screen the film and also added that his government is ready to provide protection for the screening of the film as it was Supreme court’s order.
As the release date is approaching, there are a lot of protests happening in multiple states especially Rajasthan. The film stars Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor in the leads. Sanjay Leela Bhansali is the director of the film.
