Stars who come out in support of Kerala flood victims

All of us are aware of the fact that Kerala state was hit by severe floods. The state and central governments are doing their best to bring back the state to normalcy. The center announced a financial assistance of Rs 500 crore, in addition to Rs. 100 Cr. announced by the Home Minister on Aug 10. Ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh per person to the next kin of the deceased, Rs. 50,000 to those seriously injured from PM’s National Relief Funds (PMNRF). At the same time, the film celebrities also extended their support for this need of the hour.

From Malayalam film industry, Mammootty and Mohanlal have donated 25 lakhs each. Association of Malayalam Movie Artists also donated Rs 50 lakhs. Young her Tovino Thomas provided shelter in his home for those who have become homeless.

Telangana Govt announces 25 Cr and Andhra Pradesh Govt announced 10 Cr as relief fund to Kerala Govt as Kerala Flood Relief

From Tollywood, Allu Arjun donated 25 lakhs to Kerala CM Relief Fund. Vijay Devarakonda donated an amount of 5 lakhs. The makers of Geetha Govindam announced that the entire collections of Kerala will be spent for the people in the state. Ram Charan and Upasana jointly donated more than a crore so far.

From Kollywood, Kamal Haasan, Surya-Karthi duo, Vijay Setupathi have donated 25 lakhs each. Surya also donated 10 lakhs fund from Agaram foundation. Siddarth donated ten lakhs. Dhanush announced a donation of 15 lakhs. Vishal and Siva Karthikeyan announced a donation of 10 lakhs each. Sun Network announced a donation of one crore rupees.
