Bollywood film industry is gearing up for the biopic of Astronaut Rakesh Sharma. Rakesh Sharma, AC, Hero of the Soviet Union, is a former Indian Air Force pilot who flew aboard Soyuz T-11, launched on 2 April 1984, as part of the Intercosmos programme. Rakesh Sharma is the only Indian citizen to travel in space and it is a proud moment for Bollywood to bring his life on to the screen. Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan accepted to play him on the screen and this is going to be huge.
The latest update on the project is that SRK started the preparation for this movie and he will start the shoot from September. The actor will shoot for the film non-stop for two months and take a break in December for the promotions of his movie Zero. Then again, he will resume the shoot in January next year.

The film is titled Salute and is scheduled for a release in the second half of 2019.
