MUMBAI: Sri Lanka captain Kumar Sangakkara won the toss and elected to bat against New Zealand in their last World Cup Group A match at Wankhede.
Sri Lanka have left out speedsters batsman Chamara Kapugedara, left-arm spinner Rangana Herath and pacers Dilhara Fernando and Thisara Perera.
Ajantha Mendis has been taken as the second spinner, while pacers Nuwan Kulasekara, Lasith Malinga and Angelo Mathews have also been included.
New Zealand, without the services of their injured captain Daniel Vettori and pacer Kyle Mills, have omitted batsman Jamie How and left arm spinner Luke Woodcock from their eleven.(IANS)
