Speaking at the recently held celebrity cricket tournament at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai by the Nadigar Sangam to raise funds for the construction of the Nadigar Sangam building, superstar Rajinikanth called for unity among the actors.
However, the cricket tournament has now brought cracks in the sangam it seems. Even though leading stars like Kamal Haasan, Suriya, Vishal and others including many Telugu and Kannada stars took part in the tourney, popular Tamil film stars like Ajith and Vijay didn’t participate voluntarily.
Radhika, her husband Sharatkumar, Simbu, etc. were not even invited by the team of Vishal and Karthi. Annoyed with all these happenings, Simbu, who lost in the Nadigar Sangam polls, withdrew his membership from Sangam.
Simbu alleged that the Sangam didn’t support him when he was facing issues and he was also not happy with the way tourney was conducted.
