The Madhapur police took Tollywood actor Samrat Reddy into custody based on the complaint lodged by his wife Harshitha Reddy.
The police registered a case of domestic violence under Section 498A. The couple was happy for some time after the marriage.
In her complaint, Harshita said that Samrat has been harassing her to get an additional dowry. He did not mend his ways despite the intervention of parents and elders, Harshita informed the police.
Samrat Reddy shot to limelight after he played a role of a husband to Anushka in Panchakshari movie.
