Shivaji,the film of the year 2007, with the greatest ever expectations,is testing the patience of the audience.The date of release gets postponed week after week.First,news trickled that director Shankar was giving final SFX touches.Then, news of World-Wide simultaneous release arrangements being worked out and hence the delay.The true story, according to a little bird,is that ‘Shivaji’ has no buyers and distributors in Tamil Naidu.No, it is not that no one is interested in a Rajnikanth film.Only AVM became too greedy.They want crores and crores for each territory.The buyers feel that the price offered by AVM is far above the break-even.AVM should know that the strategy of raising expectations of a film should be short-time bound.If it is stretched unreasonably, the danger of diminishing returns setting in becomes a real possibility.Will the release be on 15th June or further postponed?
