1.Glittering and glamorous Trailer Reach:
The Trailer’s reach 24 hours from the minute the trailer was launched on all the Digital Platforms, which got it more than 4 million view. And it was the first movie to launch it’s official Trailer on Facebook Video rather than going the YouTube way. Also the first movie to launch unveil its Trailer on Whatsapp and other social media.
2.Went Uber-Glam with the SLAM Tour:
Happy New Year is the first film to change the rules of the game by taking Marketing and Promotions to a whole new level. The grand success of the SLAM tour, touched billions of people’s hearts worldwide. The movie promotions were massive not only nationally, but also internationally. The whole team toured the US continent and the musical extravaganza became an instant hit.
3.Visiting Google and Twitter Headquarters:
This is the first Indian film team to visit the Google Headquarter and Twitter Headquarter in San Jose, USA. Actors Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani and Vivaan Shah went to Google HQ first in the Silicon Valley and then Team HNY was the Twitter HQ. The team was welcomed by Dick Constolo, CEO of Twitter and they also clicked a fun selfie.
Deepika Padukone’s hot and sexy avatar amazed and wowed all and the song got 1 million views in just about nine hours after it released. It was the fastest million views ever for a song.
5.Grandest World Premiere:
Happy New Year had the grandest world premiere any Bollywood movie has had so far. With over 600 people in the audience from across the globe cheering, whistling, clapping and getting emotional with the movie on 22nd October in Dubai, HNY had another record to its name, even more the film released.
6.Shattering all prior B.O Opening Records:
The bumper and record breaking opening in the Box Office in India was witnessed on October 24th, when Happy New Year released in screens. It collected Rs. 44.97 Cr on the opening day, which is the highest ever, after surpassing Dhoom 3’s record. With 42.62 Cr in Hindi, 1.43 Cr in Telugu dub and 0.92 Cr in Tamil dub, HNY has become the highest opening day ranker in Indian films so far.
7.Fastest 100 crore Blockbuster:
When the Opening was phenomenal, the next milestone was the run to 100 crore mark. And even that was surpassed with exceptional style and coolness. HNY created history by amassing, Rs. 108.86 Cr on the opening weekend all India, with Rs. 104.10 Cr in Hindi, Rs. 2.92 Cr in Telugu dub and Rs. 1.84 Cr in Tamil dub.
