Aamir Khan’s ‘Lagaan’, which was released over a decade ago, has become a landmark film in Indian cinema history. The film was also nominated for Oscar Award in Best Foreign Language Film category.
Bollywood media houses are now abuzz about the sequel of ‘Lagaan’. As per sources, the groundwork for the sequel has already started. During the first part with ‘Once upon a time in India’ tagline, had showcased the pre-Independence situations, the sequel with ‘India at present’ tagline, will showcase the present scenario in independent India.
Prachi Desai has been finalized as the leading lady however It is not clear if Ashutosh Gowariker will return to the direction or not.
Aamir is currently busy with ‘Dangal’. In which he will be seen in the the role of legendary wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat. Recently the filmakers released the first look poster of Aamir Khan in Dangal.
