What do Savithri do to get married?? forms the rest of the story.

Cast and Performance

Nara Rohit as Rishi is superb and he lived in his role. He has to shed some weight to look handsome. He looks awkward in closeup shots. Nanditha as Savithri, a girl who always want her to be married as soon as possible. She did a terrific job in her role. Prabhas Seenu is nice in his hilarious role, a owner of Friendly Travels. Rama Prabha is good as Savithri’s granny. Maadhunandan and Sri Mukhi as eloped couple are nice and generate good humour. Posani Krishna Murali as Krishna has given nice performance. Shakala Shankar is funny. Murli Sharma is nice as Savithri’s father. Ajay as Savithri’s uncle is good. Ravi Babu is fine. Satya, Satyam Venu, Dhanya Balakrishna, Fish Venkat, Vennela Kishore and other actors did what they are given.

Writing Department

Basic story and plot line of Savithri is simple yet good. Screenplay is well written and it engages audience into the movie from the word go. Dialogues penned by Krishna Chaitanya are simple and situational. Writing department has done a fine job.

Songs are superbly composed and are trendy. Sravan did a fantastic job with songs. Chitramainadhi and Pilla O Pilla are our picks. One of the highlights of the movie is his background score. It gives necessary elevation and emotion to the movie. Cinematography by Vasanth are superbly rich and they makes us audience feel positive. Editing is neat. Action is choreographed well. Production values are rich.

  • Nara Rohit as Rishi
  • Nanditha as Savitri
  • Music by Shravan
  • Cinematography by Vasanth

  • Second half could have been better
  • Ignorable dull moments

Character of Savithri is introduced in a traditional marriage with traditional background music. She is introduced as a girl who dies to get married as soon as possible. Her acts to get married are funny as well as engaging. It is always her intention to get married that drives and forms the crux of the story. First half runs in a crispy mode with nice screenplay with some good humour. Interval twist revealed is unexpected and leaves audience wait for second half interestingly. Second half begins with some meaningful scenes. Rishi goes to Savithri’s house and asks her father to marry with Savithri with him. It goes on with some engaging moments and some same age old tom and jerry comedy scenes. Ignoring that second half is good. To sum up, Savithri is a movie which entertains whole family this weekend.
