Cast and Performance

This movie is pure show Power Star Pawan Kalyan mannerisms and his heroism. With his acts on screen, his fans gets super high. Power Star seems to be a synonym of one man show. Kajal Aggarwal as Akshi Devj did fine job. She is looking gorgeous on screen. Sharadh Kelkar as Bhairav Singh is good, but the voice which dubbed him does not sync him perfectly and is not effective for his face. Brahmandam, Ali, Prabhas Sreenu, Shakalaka Shankar, Narra Srinivas, Brahmaji, Suman Shetty and others perform well with what they are given. Oorvasi is fine. Kabhir Khan has been typecasted. Posani Krishna Murali is nice. Mukesh Rishi is fine.

Writing Department

Story of the movie is very routine. Screenplay is flat and doesn’t engage audience much into the movie. Power Star has failed in this aspect. Dilaogues by Sai Madhav Burra is good but compared to his previous works, his work is just okay for this film. He seems to have stressed more on punch and rhyme which are not effective at times.

Technical Department

Music by Devi Sri Prasad is good but this album is not upto his caliber. He has done a pretty okay with this movie in terms of background music. Cinematography by Arthur A Wilson is good. He presented the movie in authentic feel and look. Editing by Gowtham Raju is bad. He should have trimmed some portions out of the movie. Art direction done by Brahma Kadali is fantastic. His work is experienced from the beginning frame itself. Srunts and action choreographed by Ram Laxman duo is superb and are a perfect match to Power Star’s caliber. Dance movies choreographed are nice. Production values are grand.

Highlights

  • Power Star Pawan Kalyan

Minus

  • Age old routine story
  • Screenplay
  • Editing

Verdict

Sardaar Gabbar Singh starts with a biggest problem created by antagonist to the innocents of Rattanpur and sorrounding areas and people hoping for a person to stand for them as a leader and solve their problems. So our Power Star is only the hope. His mannerisms and acts involved in solving problems of Rattanpur people make fans go gaga over them. Scenes and situations are conceived putting just fans in mind. This half goes on with only Power Star’s style and charismatic acts. This half can be concluded as by Pawan Kalyan for his fans with Pawan Kalyan. It is a good half for fans and not okay for others. Second half starts in the same age old routine way where antagonist asses his power and it’s disturbance by protagonist. This half is a crap compared to first half except for some heroic acts. Makers should have taken care of the content first. To Sum up, Sardaar Gabbar Singh disappoints audience and fans alike for big time.
