He doesn’t have a good opinion on movies and persons involved with movies but his father (Naresh) is a ardent movie buff and is trying to get a chance in movies as an actor and accepts to give his house as film location for 20 days to shoot if they give him a role. During the shoot, Vijay accidentally becomes Telugu language coach to non-Telugu heroine Sameera Rathod (Aditi Rao Hydari) and they both get to know each other well with the passage of time. One day, Vijay confesses his love for Sameera and she rejects his love. How they both get into relationship forms rest of the story.
Cast and performance
Sudheer Babu has played his role convincingly. He showed the vulnerabilities of Vijay with his facial expressions. Aditi Rao Hydari as non-Telugu heroine Sameera is surely a charmer in the movie. She is fantastic in her role and her dubbing and the cuteness in her voice and face works well. Naresh as father of Vijay, an aspiring actor has done a terrific job. He made audience go rofl with his body language and funny expressions he give. Nandu is good. Rahul Ramakrishna, Abhi, Pavitra, Harsitha are good in their roles. Thanikella Bharani has done a good job and all the rest of actors are apt for their roles.
Story of Sammohanam is simple yet novel. Screenplay is well written and dialogues are in perfect sync with the proceedings.
Songs composed by Vidyasagar are fantastic and lyrics added more value to them. Background score is superb and Tapeloop team has done terrific job with sound.
Cinematography by PG Vindha is delightful and editing is crispy. Production values are apt.
