But the question still remained – who will play the brothers?
Veeram told the story of five brothers, and with Salman in the lead, the brothers’ roles remained uncast. Well, now we have rumours rolling in that Salman’s brothers – Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan might occupy two of the unfilled vacancies!
Siruthai Siva, the man who stood at the helm of the Tamil version, will be the one directing the Hindi remake as well. In fact, sources say he is busy tweaking the story to fit Salman’s personality and image now.
The female lead in flick might be bagged by Jacqueline Fernandez. Tamannah Bhatia played the role in the original, but given the struggling starlet’s unfortunate track record in Bollywood so far and the Humshakals debacle, she lost the chance to reprise her character.
Pritish Nandy holds the remake rights for Veeram and he will be producing the film in association with Salman Khan’s home banner. The launch is set for next year though, so you have no choice but to wait. Let’s also hope and keep our fingers crossed that Salman’s legal hassles don’t get in the way.
Now, back in Kollywood, Siva and Ajith will reunite once again before the year ends.
No real details about the film have been made public but still Veeram fans are thrilled with the duo collaborating again. This project will start come November.
