Yuva Samrat Akkineni Naga Chaitanya wanted to enter the success form with the film Sailaja Reddy Alludu and he is all set to make his mark. The actor teamed up with the director Maruthi for the movie and the film was released today in the theatres. Already the theatrical trailer impressed one and all. The young hero Naga Chaitanya is pinning his hopes on director Maruthi to score a super hit at the box office and he is competing with his wife Samantha at the box office with the movie U-Turn. Check out the review of the movie here.
Chay (Naga Chaitanya) is a cool guy who falls for Anu Reddy (Anu Emmanuel). Chaitanya has to impress his girl and her mother. Her mother Sailaja Reddy (Ramya Krishna) happens to be full of egoistic nature. What happens when the ego becomes the major problem to his love life? How did the ego is burst in the end? Forms the story of the movie.
Akkineni Naga Chaitanya is impressive in terms of his looks as well as the performance. He delivered his best as per the requirements of his character. The heroine Anu Emmanuel looked glamorous in the movie and she delivered a dominating performance in the movie. The senior actress Ramya Krishnan delivered an amazing performance in the movie and her screen presence is amazing. The comedy actor Vennela Kishore excelled as the savior of the film. His comedy timing is amazing and entertaining. The other actors Pruthvi, Naresh & Murli Sharma and others did their parts convincingly well.
The Camera work in the film from Nisar Shafi is top notch. The Music from Gopi Sunder is good. The director Maruthi failed to recreate his magic by comedy. The dialogues of the movie also lacked the punch.
Director Maruthi is known for his special concepts and especially comedy is his USP. The director comes up with some impressive elements. He always comes up with entertaining subjects. In the same manner, for Sailaja Reddy Alludu, the actor has selected ego as the main theme and laced a story around it. But, unfortunately, the director failed to create the fun around the ego concept. Ramya Krishnan’s role is much hyped but it did not come out well. The writing of the film is weak and it could have been much better. The title of the film is catchy but the makers could not live up to the expectations. The rivalry between Shailaja & her son-in-law was not established well. The fun elements are fine and all the others have gone for a toss. On the whole, the film is not worth the hype but a time pass entertainer.
