Saif Ali Khan‘s Chef was all set to release on July 14 along with Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif’s Jagga Jasoos. Earlier in the day, we got reports that the film is postponed indefinitely to avoid a box office clash.
However, T-Series’ official Instagram handle just announced a new release date for the Saif Ali Khan starrer as 6th of October 2017.
The post reads: ‘Chef, directed by Raja Krishna Menon, produced by T-Series and Abundantia Entertainment starring Saif Ali Khan, south actor Padmapriya and child actor Svar Kamble releases on 6th October 2017.’ The caption was accompanied by a picture of Saif leaning on a stove, perhaps cooking up a potential box office smasher.
Chef is the Hindi remake of the Hollywood production of the same name which starred Jon Favreau, Sofia Vergara, Scarlett Johansson and Robert Downey Jr. The film was a great hit when it released in 2014 and received lots of love for Jon Favreau’s convincing performance as a Chef. That leaves Saif with big shoes to fill.
