A property in the name of Sachin Tendulkar, the world’s greatest cricketer ever, was registered in the 700-acre Kensiville Golf and Country Club in Ahmedabad. The club is the only functional 18-hole golf course in Gujarat and Sachin registered the 2,000 square yard plot, a day after he landed in the city for his first Test with New Zealand. According to sources, Sachin, who is likely to be associated with the Kensville Golf Academy, will promote the academy coming up here by making regular visits. The club is already endorsed by golfer Jeev Milkha Singh whose villa is under construction. Sachin’s villa is said to be coming up in a prime location in the golf course and this deal might promise frequent encounters with the cricket hero for his fans in this cricket-crazy city.
