Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reedy looked grim at the function and the PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana looked grimmer. Both displayed worried looks despite their efforts to present a cheerful countenance.
The chief Minister has, in his 23-minutes speech, emphasized on the government efforts to generate 15 lakh employments for the young in the next three years. He said 50 per cent of the state population comprised of people less than 25 age and job generation had therefore gained priority for the government. He said the Rs 1 kg rice programme aimed at the marginal people would help a vast majority of population tide the inflationary situation. Reddy later went to Khairathabad to inaugurate the Rs 1kg rice scheme.
