Continuing the trend of dubbing movies, another Tamil movie got dubbed into Telugu and got released today. Titled as ‘Thimiru Pudichavan’, which means ‘egoistic guy’ dubbed into Telugu and got released as ‘Roshagadu’ today. The movie features Vijay Antony of ‘Bichagadu’ fame and Nivetha Pethuraj of ‘Mental Madhilo’ fame played the female leads in the film. Directed by Ganeshaa, Vijay’s wife Fatima bankrolled this project under Vijay’s home banner whereas the lead actor himself composed the tunes. The film created a decent buzz among the audience before the release and Vijay played a cop role for the first time in career. Let’s check out the review of the movie.
The film’s story is all about how a sincere and serious police officer tries to bring some good changes in the society and the people living around. In the process, he encounters a lot of problems. How did he face them and successully try to achieve his motive forms the enitre plot of the movie.
Vijay Antony as a dutiful Inspector is impeccable. His energetic and outstanding performance is one of the major highlights in the film. His interesting character not only creates humour but also showcases intensity. He did a great job. Nivetha Pethuraj also as an Inspector looked beautiful. She maintained a good chemistry with Vijay Antony. She looked beautiful and delivered her best. Daniel Balaji did a splendid job. He delivered a powerful performance. Lakshmy Ramakrishnan also had a good screen presence. Sai Dheena performed well. Muthuraman did a good job. The rest of the cast also made their presence felt.
The story penned by Ganeshaa is simple yet powerful. He wanted to showcase the value of a police officer and succeeded in proving the same point in the film. He handled the script well and impressed with his story execution. Vijay’s home banner bankrolled this project. Their production values are lavish. Not only as an actor Vijay did a great job as a music director too. His songs are very good and his BGM is worth applauding. His background score elevated his heroism. Richard M Nathan cinematography is too good. He produced some sleek visuals and the backgrounds are also captured well. The runtime is crisp. Overall, the technical team did a great job.
Vijay Antony did a great job as an honest and sincere cop. The film throws light on the juvenile crimes which grab the audience attention. The first half is decent. The movie will be a feast for mass audience and the film will definitely impress B and C centres as well. The story is engaging. The interval bang is the highlight. The second half is serious whereas the first half has some humour in it. The film also deliveres a good message to lead the youngsters on a good path and not letting them lean towards the juvenile crimes. With all the necessary commercial elements like comedy, emotions, action sequences, ‘Roshagadu’ is a well-acted and well-executed action drama.
