It was strictly mentioned by the Association of South Indian Movies that the actors from the south film industries who will attend the IIFA awards event being held in Srilanka, those will be banned in to the acting movies and those acted films will not be released in South.
Now, the latest news is that Surya’s much hyped film ‘Rakta Charitra’ directed by RGV is in deep trouble on this issue. What happened? Did Surya attend the IIFA event? Absolutely no. As the Rakta Charitra’s co-star and B-town star Vivek Oberoi attended the IIFA 2010 event.
Sources say that the South Indian Movies Association took decision to ban the Rakta Charitra movie screening in 5 southern states. The association has announced before that action will be taken against the actors who participate in the IIFA 2010 event held in Srilanka, Colombo.
They adds “We have decided to take action against actors who attended the IIFA and since Vivek plays an important role in ‘Rakta Charitra’, the movie will not be allowed to screen in southern states and Vivek Oberoi will not be entertained to act any Southern film further".
We cannot relax the rule for Rakta Charitra or Vivek Oberoi. We are trying to get official voice of the South Indian Movies Association and Ram Gopal Varma too. This Rakta Charitra film is tri-language film and planning to release by June end.
RGV’s Rakta Charitra was also facing problems in Andhra Pradesh. Some NGO’s went to the court and Human Rights Commission. The APHRC was ordered the censer board to submit the report of the film.
