September 5th is widely celebrated as Teacher’s Day in our country. Teachers’ Day is a special day for the appreciation of Teachers and may include celebrations to honor them for their special contributions in a particular field area, or the community in general. We celebrate this every year on the occasion of the birthday of Sarvepalli Radha Krishnan, a profound teacher and the first vice-president of India.
Teachers have great respect in society and also in the films. Our filmmakers have designed fantastic roles for the teachers in the past in the movies and some of them are memorable and stay with us forever.
From the olden days, there is a tradition of stars playing teachers on the screen. Legends like Sr NTR, ANR, Sobhan Babu and others played teachers on the screen.
Sr NTR in Badi Panthulu, Sobhan Babu in Kode Nagu, Somayajulu in Shankarabharanam, Vijayashanthi in Prathighatana played teachers.
Later, Mega Star Chiranjeevi played teacher in Master, Victory Venkatesh played teacher in Sundarakanda, and Balakrishna played a teacher in the film Simha.
Rajendra Prasad is seen as the teacher in Onamalu and Ravi Teja played a teacher in the movie Mirapakai. Suriya also played a teacher in Singham 2.
Recently, Vijay Devarakonda also turned teacher for the film Geetha Govindam that has become a big hit at the box office.
